Homemade Low-Sugar Iced Tea

Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 tea bags of black or green tea
  • 8 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup of fruit of your choice (such as strawberries, peaches, or raspberries. We used peaches in this recipe. )

Instructions 

  • Boil 8 cups of water in a saucepan.
  • Remove from heat and add the tea bags, steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags and add lemon and lime juice, stir to combine.
  • Blend 1 cup of fruit in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  • Add the blended fruit to the tea mixture and stir to combine.
  • Pour the mixture into a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Once cooled, transfer the pitcher to the refrigerator and chill until cold.
  • Serve over ice and enjoy your naturally sweetened iced tea!
