Ingredients
- 2 cups almond or other nut milk
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 ripe banana
- 1 large mejool date
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a high powered blender or food processor, blend banana, date, cacao, vanilla, salt and nut milk until smooth.
- In a saucepan, heat the blended milk over medium heat until warm.
- You can either pour and enjoy here, or you can froth your milk to make your hot chocolate have that foam topping we all know and love. You can use an electric frother or if you don't one of these simply wisk vigoursly while still in the pan or add to a liquid tight jar and shake until frothy (shake carefully at first, release pressure and then continue with this one.)
